About Me

Growing up in the woods of Michigan I had always loved my Faith in Jesus, horses, hot rods and trains as a child was first introduced to trains through my family. As a child I watched Shining Time Station, Thomas the tank engine, and National Geographics "Love those Trains." The first steam locomotive I ever seen in action was in 1993 when NKP #765 with the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society (under the guise of #2765) came into town. I never forgot being in our Plymouth Voyager with that big black steam engine thundering alongside us with the reddest sunset I had ever seen in the background. After that was followed a family trip to Strasburg Pa where we all got to ride through the heart of the amish country with nothing but the sound of the farmlands and

My father was a hard working farmer turned businessman who started his company from the ground up and growing up in that environment it involved traveling alot to different business sites. To keep us all entertained as kids our parents made sure we visited railroads near the work sites and from there the love of trains only grew. We visited places such as Cass Scenic, Conway Scenic, Durango and Silverton, Strasburg Railroad, Gettysburg Railroad, Pikes Peak, Georgetown loop, Ohio Central and more.

After attending Trainfest 2009 in Owosso MI I knew this was the field I wanted to be in. I learned more about what it takes to be a volunteer for other organizations, have been blessed to have had my hand on the throttle of a few steam locomotives thanks to very good friends and even worked at a railroad museum for a while.

It occurred to me one day that the new generation can never had enough clean shows for people of all ages to watch let alone one for railroads. I loved telling stories as a kid and watching old time tv shows that made all of us laugh. I wanted to promote that along with preservation of historic railroad rolling stock and artifacts as well as railroad safety. Thus Pleasant Valley Junction, Earl the accident proned engineer, Leroy the Hippie Dippie Brakeman and Ironhorse Sara was born. It is my goal to keep promoting railroad safety, fun clean entertainment,  preserving as much of our railroad history as we can and spreading the Light of Christ as long as I live.
